Investigation of the Lived Experiences of Mentees from the Phenomenon of Effective Feedback in Mentoring Relationships in Iran Khodro Diesel Company

Abstract
Background & Purpose: The main goal in mentoring relationships is to successfully carry out the mentoring process, and effective feedback to employees is one of the tools to achieve this goal. And in this regard, the current research seeks to find common themes from the mentees' lived experiences in order to explain and understand the nature and background of the phenomenon of effective feedback in mentoring relationships.
Methodology:The current research is based on Van Menen's interpretive phenomenology approach and the research tools were semi-structured interviews and the participants of the research were 16 people who were among the experts and recipients of effective feedback in mentoring relationships in the Iranian company. diesel cars were selected and the sampling method was also purposeful (based on the goal) of criterion-oriented type.
Findings: The results of the research led to seven general clusters: (core category, strategy, consequence, facilitator, moderator, background and limitation.Also, 19 main themes were obtained, which were the subsets of each of the main clusters. These topics include: core category: learning; Strategy: technical, developmental and social feedback methods; Consequence: personal, occupational and organizational consequences; Facilitator: mentor's personal competencies, mentor's behavioral competencies and mentor's specialized competencies; Moderator: mentee characteristics, mentor characteristics and feedback content. Context: organizational culture and organizational support. Limitation: The mentee's characteristics and the method of providing feedback. Furthermore, 100 sub-themes related to the understanding of mentee's lived experiences emerged from the phenomenon of effective feedback.
Conclusion: The use of this research model culturalizes the process of designing and developing effective feedback in mentoring relationships at the macro level and it can be implemented more easily at the level of organizations.In addition, it develops the theoretical field of the subject at the international level; Therefore, the added value of this study can be considered as awareness and facilitation of effective feedback process in mentoring relationships in the context of organizations with awareness and modeling of the concepts and contents of the presented model.
